1 hurt in helicopter crash near Delta Junction

DELTA JUNCTION, Alaska - One person was hurt when a helicopter crashed near Delta Junction.

The Delta Wind reports that the copter was flying across the Delta River from the town Saturday afternoon when it began to lose power and crashed into some trees. The pilot and three passengers were able to get out of the aircraft and summon help, and State Police and aid workers arrived to help a fourth passenger injured in the crash.

The newspaper says the extent of the passenger's injuries was not immediately known, but he was taken to the Delta Junction hospital and then flown to Anchorage for evaluation.

The McDonald Douglas Hughes 500 copter is owned and operated by Aurora Aviation of Delta Junction.

that is what you get for hiring lower 48 people. Yeah there isnt any HOSPITAL in Delta jct. An no STATE police. but what is even worse is there is an article with the Nenana TROOPER recognized.LOL Its amazing. The FDNM ran an Canadian Article during the Olympics on how the poor Canadian hockey tean felt losing to the US. They bash Mackey for smoking weed, they supported Luke and tried to protect this screwup for a Mayor. FAIR AND BALANCED?? Oh wait that is the other "let us decide for you" news agency.
