I love that a writer would be the one to offend the paper's readers and commenters, e.g., "The second is that these people are unemployed."
Are there still editors at the News Miner?

WHAT THE HECK DOES THIS MEAN.
"Jets from Eielson Air Force Base will perform four controlled sonic booms Monday to make community leaders more aware of an issue that has upset many who live near the base."
How can more sonic booms make the community leaders more aware - the already are aware. It sounds like baloney to cover the fact they already had four sonic booms planned and are justifying.
Next, they will be denotating a small nuclear bomb so community leaders will be aware.

Some fire departments have firefighters working eight hour shifts. The purpose they cite is to eliminate excessive overtime.
Maybe one day FAI will catch on!

When the church applied to that state for no profit status several directors signed the form. They included: Don E. Thomas, Joe Thomas, Sharen Miller, and LaNene Scott. in my opinion each of these people are also responsible for the demise of the church. I suppose a lawyer would be able to answer if they are financially liable for their inactions.

Can someone please explain the clout that Hayes had with Stevens to get him to appropriate, repeatedly, $1,000,000.00 to Love, Inc.
Don't overlook the people listed as the board of directors. These include: Don Thomas, Delores Trice, Lanene D Scott, Helen Scott, and Val Cofield.
While these people were not charged or convicted they, in myh opinion, must have known that "strange events" were ongoing

Obviously my comment about community leaders and Cleworth is my opinion only and is only raised for consideration.

It is ironic that all the strange activities were going on and, apparently, no community leaders, Jerry Cleworth, et. al., raised no questions and the UAF board of regents all looked the other way. WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THE LEADERSHIP OF THE COMMUNITY.

'I love living in Fairbanks because you can be sitting next to a millionaire or an unemployed bum and you cannot tell which is which and they are both equally respected.'
The commenter who wrote the above is correct. Funny -When Nordstrom's was still in town I went there to get my Rolex repaired. When I walked in the sales clerk yelled at me from 30 feet away -"What do you want." When I said, "You need to send my Rolex in for repair" the clerk suddenly bounded to the counter and took care of the issue.
Of course, I dress as a long time resident - it may not be pretty but ...... The clerk was obviously a wife of the newly arrived and still had the stick stuck-up a bodily orifice.
I love fairbanks.
