kiddo - I believe that the Birch Hill Ski Lodge was burnt down by vandals not to long ago. I could be mistaken though between the 2 that are there next to each other. Does someone here know for sure?

Just to drop a note to say Hi to everyone is AK, miss you.

I think the water at Fox is still good, they have a pump you can go and fill jugs up with. It has been over 10 years since I have been there but I used to haul my own water from there when I lived in a cabin without running water off of Farmers Loop Road. It was the best tasting water in the world. Hope it still is, it is North of Fairbanks not too far.

MOUSEHEAD - I agree with you, I am in MN too and wish I was back home in Alaska, at least there you have the excuse of being cold becuase you are in Alaska.......not Minnesota, when soon it will be 90-100 degrees and complaining that its too hot and wish I was in Alaska because it will be 70-80 with no humidity.

I think that sexual orientation should not be taught in a school setting. I do not want you pushing your beliefs on me. The same goes for church, state and government.

How could you do it. I can't belive you did it. The polor bear is losing its habitat and you go and shoot it. It does not even look like it is full grown. You should be ashamed of yourself. How dare you, I am so upset by this. What the heck were you thinking. Everything is going through my head right now. All you hear now adays about global warming and glaciers melting and north pole wildlife loosing there homes. So upsetting.

The northern lights are most vivid when it is cold outside, about 0-20 below. Used to see them pretty good when I lived in Yak E States 30 years ago. Thats up the his on Chena Ridge Road. Maybe the look out on Chena Ridge also.

My friends and I used to ride at Summit Lake every weekend for years, when there was only 10-20 cabins on the lake. Was always told to never ride by yourself or go off on your own. Know a few people that are still up on the glacier and have never been found. He was a very lucky man that there were such wonderful people to save him. Hope he counts his blessings.
