Dobieman-- When Alaska was bought by the United States, it was a territory for years. My "memories" which can be faulty at times. Makes me think that the guy that was convicted of shooting Joe Vogler, ( I apologize for misspelling his name on my previous post), did not try to blow himself up, it was not a little cabin with a dirt cellar. It was full sized house with a concrete basement. And as far as I know, there is still controversy over who started the fire, the troopers, or the killer. Also to the person that said that Joe Vogler was not a patriot, I guess that depends on definition, if you consider someone who kisses butt and never disagrees with the masters to be a patriot, I think you are wrong. But if you think that someone who tells the Government this is the way I want my America to be is a non-patriot, then your wrong again.

I consider myself to be "Joe sixpack". But that is only because I have been retired for 10 years. When I worked for a living, I would have called myself "a Joe 12 pack". But be that as it may, I have never tasered one of my children, or for that matter hit them in the face with a hockey stick,ect.-ect.- to teach them about life.

Let me prefaces this, with I would never vote for McBush, or turn me on Sara. So trash them all you want. But to defend mr. Monegann ( who was appointed the top administrator of law enforcement in the state).Doesn't even realize, that """IF""" he was illegally fired, he has one of the most profitable lawsuits in the world. What with his ""SELF--AGRANDISING OPINION OF HIMSELVE WOULD BE WORTH MILLIONS". Also to defend trooper Wooten, who ta-sered his stepson, is ridiculous. I realize you republicans have enough hatred to distribute to the rest of us. Especially, the ones of us that disagree with( LORD) ( ie. Shean Hannity Rush'Limba I might have spelled the names wrong but I don't care. Goodnight from a liberal God hating, terrorist supporting, hate our troops, oooh I forgot devil worshiper. One more time goodnight to all you holy people, Gods chosen!!! The republicans, or your new name the conservatives What a joke!!!

FreeDarfur--- Fairbanks used to be the "stopover refueling" airport for cargo flights, in the late 70's early 80's, right after the refinery went through their fist improvement process that allowed them to crack all the jet fuel to supply the whole state. Then the Alaska railroad rebuilt the tracks and purchased hundreds of tanker cars to ship the fuel to Anchorage. I have heard, but I don't know for sure that Fairbanks is logistically a shorter transcontinental route than Anchorage. Also with more good takeoff and landing days "weatherwise" per year. But politics always wins.

I'm at an age, and live in a house that falls below the average value. So this vote has no immediate effect on me, but it does effect my children & grandchildren. I believe the voters made a wrong decision on this, but we did get the oppertunity to vote. Which I very much appreciate.
