sdoownek, Shed some light on the subject about oil for us oil field types that work on the slope? Are you refering to the technology needed to extract the oil from the ground? Are you refering to the cost of developing the new oil discoveries? Please, educate us.

Mismanagement in congress on a massive level. All Democrats and a few misguieded republicans can do is say what is "bad", however, they can rarely offer any alternatives. I say DRILL ANWR NOW! Afterall, what's a few hundred more holes in the ground? The North Slope oil production needs a shot in the arm and this will do it.

I don't know any natives that live a pure subsistence lifestyle. The whales I see are killed with big powerboats, rifles and pulled onto the beach with a D9 Cat. They all want the royalties on the north slope and this is just their way of saying they want more money. Why not just come out and say it?

So if I am reading this correctly, A congressman or any other government representative can collect a PFD while our military service members cannot? This is as screwed up as the rest of our little government.
