After reading the evidence and having a degree in Psychology: I see, objectively, the facts:
1) The State had (has) no physical evidence,
2) The officers and detectives used psychological suggestion and non-standard, out-of-line interrogation tactics on young, drunk men for hours and days which is purely psychologically draining (a form of torture).
3) The star witness changed his story several times which was the deciding factor for the juries,
4) As a sober, tax-paying, voting, non-criminal NATIVE male, college-educated citizen, I say THESE BOYS WERE RAILROADED, FRAMED, AND SCAPE-GOATED, ESPECIALLY MR. ROBERTS.
I believe the convictions are pathetic and were racially motivated.

We should all be thankful that there are not 10,000 inebriates on the sidewalks,
Go anywhere else in America and you will see that we actually have it really good.
Most of the people you see drunk around town are harmless and mind their own business-
Town drunkards have been around for centuries, this will continue no matter what anyone in this city does- unless we "herd" them somewhere else,
wait a second, if I am not mistaken, didn't the Nazi's "herd" other unwanted folk off the streets? hmmm...
Maybe us "better" people should stop while we can, and yes, the inebriates are human beings guaranteed by the constitution of the U.S. to be equal-some of these people are veterans, mothers, fathers, etc. They just have a disease called Alcoholism- a spiritual malady. Pray for them.

Come mow my lawn,
I'll buy the beer.

What a bogus charge.
How lame to ruin a man's record over a lawnmower!
A little harsh.
Drop the charges Fairbanks-Have some decency.

Regulating what can be bought and sold in our country infringes on our rights as a democratic, capitalist society.
I should be able to buy whatever drink I want in my country. Thousands and thousands have died for this basic right.
Taking away this right because of drunks or "eye-sores" to all you perfect people is quite pathetic. Most of these drunks mind their own business and wish to drink their lives away.
The sad truth is: you can only help those who want help - whether we believe they need it or not.
Sometimes, All you can do is pray for those you see who are in obvious need of help, pray that they become sober citizens like yourselves Fairbanksans.

So nice to hear of such discoveries,
I think that the helmet should go to the family of the warrior who owned the helmet.
The helmet belonged to a warrior at one time,
He earned it through rites of passage, things not practiced as often anymore amongst warrior cultures.
The lineage of the helmet is most likely impossible to trace, therefore, the story of that helmet is lost.
Either way, there could be warriors out there who could make more and then earn them-as it was done before.
Nice article.

I won't start clapping yet,
The real challenges have just begun.
I will clap when you all have at least a B.A. or Ph.D.
Then maybe, I will "pat someone on the back."
Good luck.
