This whole 'restricted to base' punishment is a joke. How hard would it be for these guys to get a ride off base? Sure, they check I.Ds on the entering traffic, but the exit is free flowing. And when they wanted to get back on base, all they would have to do is jump in a trunk or duck down in the back of an SUV. What the army neeeds to do is discharge them and send these guys back to where they came from. According to the DNM, "Army regulations prohibit soldiers from being involved in gangs." so how can they justify these guys (who they know are gang members) getting a slap on the hands?

The problem I have with this news is that just a few days ago it seems that they still were looking at what....eight or nine canidates? What the heck happened to the rest of them? Did not one or two others have enough on the ball to warrant a trip here to be further interviewed? Or is it a case like last time when one of our own local sons came up for a look see, and after talking to people involved in hockey in the community pulled his name because he didn't like what he was hearing? Also, the last article I saw didn't provide the names of all the canidates, because suppossedly Karr didn't want to release them because some needed to talk to their families and some other questionable reasons. Ok, I am sure the other canidates have now informed their families they tried getting the job here but weren't picked. So, can we please have their names????? Or is another case of the Newsminer only providing what the athletic department tells them, same as when they failed to give Coach Ostanik's side of that story?

Thanks to everyone for the late night entertainment. Just couldn't sleep, but I think I am sufficiently bored enough from all the uproar to do so. Oh, and yes I will be buying tickets. Without a doubt the best rock entertainment we've had in Fairbanks since ZZ Top.

If someone wants to make a joke about peeing in my girlfriend, go for it...it prrobably wont be that funny because it wont make much sense, but go for it. I have a sense of humor, and I like to use it.

way to avoid my actual question and respond with a question of your own Scott. You really dug deep into your book of debate tactics today. Obviously I don't compare a chicken to a person, i thought starting my post out with "haha..." would negate any implication that I was serious..guess not
