I fully support our troops, but not necessarily what they are being ordered to fight for. and as for supporting our troops, all it takes is a simple shake of the hand and, "I Apreciate what your doing" to make a soldiers day. My cousin is in Iraq right now and he told me that when people say that to him it really makes him feel good.

our troops in Iraq ARE getting stuff done, but at what cost? how many american lives are we willing to spend in order to liberate Iraq? how far should we go? are we ever going to stop the fighting? the Shiites and Sunnis have been fighting each other for generations. are we going to simply step inbetween them and stop them killing each other? If we were to leave the fighting would just go on ever more feircer than before. so should we stay and just keep paying the tol of american lives, or should we cut our losses and bring our boys and girls home?

I think the DOS worked quite well at Lathrop High School. kids would come into class with a bunch of orange flyers explaining why they wernt talking, then in all of my classes, some kids would take some slips to hand out, and become silent. I hardly saw anyone rolling their eyes at it. now it was pretty hard to stay silent all day for some, but there arnt rules. Also i think it would have worked better if it was a Day Of Explanation - of GLBT-

How can anyone say that people only commit suicide for one solid reason? there isnt one, there are hundreds of reasons, just like hommicide, or taking your cat for a walk.

2cold4me, U you as well have some good points. although I could never see christ as you do, I belive that religion is a goodthing -except for the whole crusade thing- it is a form of control. Even though I dont belive in the bible, I think it can teach a good measage, if read correctly -for it does contradict it self quite a bit-. so 2cold4you good for you for beliveing in a *good* something more. :)

first off, news reader, ur awesome, and you do have some very valid points. Now Kim quoteing from the bible to a country that has freedom of religion, to the public, which is most definitly not all christian is a bad idea. your argument might even convince people that abortion is good if they dont belive in the bible. also, if God is made in mans image, God is a pretty flawed and screwed up deiety. look how many rapests, murders, bank robbers, shoplifters, identity thefts, and so on are out there. :)

Word To the MAX common sense- u rock (and also, I'm starting to think that "common sense" is not so common anymore)- so back on topic, I do hate those delibarate polluters, we all polute on accident occasionaly, its forgivable, but those who do it on purpose, it just agrivates me. I mean come on, we only got ONE earth. but lets look at this from the other side, why should I take my garbage to the dump when I can take it out to Cushman, toss it on the ground ANY where and blast a couple slugs into it for good measure. and lets get real, whats one more oil drum going to do to the earth? huh? look at the exon valdez 13000000 gallons of oil was spilt, look at how much garbage is tossed on the ground every day, whats one more peice of trash going to do? and when I through my trash on the ground, It agrivates the hell out of you, and I know that someone else is going to pick it up... or they wont, what do I care? -- allright im back to the hate poluters me now. so what needs to be done is we need to educate these polluters to see the big picture, about how every act of kindness, no matter how small, does not go wasted. In more related terms, every bit of trash NOT thrown on the ground, no matter how small, helps. :)

well I definitly dont meet the 4.5 hours a day standard, infact I dont watch TV at all, I Play my X-Box 360 (about 3 hours a week), now my sister on the other hand, I dont know if she could go a week without watching american idol, at least i couldnt go a week hereing her complain about not being able to watch it. TV can be very informative though, discovery channel, history chanell, news, future weapons... all of these shows are very intertaining as well as informative. but yes we should limit our TV time for the sake of life. so it might just be a good experiment to turn off the TV's for a whole week, now the computers, I duno if I could hack that :)
