Good morning everyone. Nice to see the aurora cam is back up and running. It is a perfectly clear morning there but alas, no northern lights today :(

Have a great week!!

Thanks Andrew although no new digs for us right now in this skiddish market. We've been in a duplex rental for about six months now and will stay put until we can decide that we want to invest our proceeds from the IA sale to buy something here in Wisconsin. Besides, actually moving INTO something new in a Wisconsin winter really stinks!

Greetings everyone from snowy Milwaukee. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. For us, we are close to closing on the sell of our home in Iowa. It's been 17 long months . . . but with the last of "the move" completed this weekend and closing scheduled for 12/10 . . . we've got our fingers crossed for a Merry Christmas in the Bennett household.

Packers are stinking so that is not such good news for the Cheeseheads, but Brett the Jet has been looking good. Today's game may be a loss for them, but it still looks like they will be headed for the playoffs.

I wish I were planning for my next Alaska trip this winter, but alas, it will most likely be 2010 before I am able to return for dog sled racing, the Ice Art Championships and of course, photographing the aurora!

I hope that those who make the trip this winter will share photos with the rest of us :)

Have a great day and welcome to December!

P.S. BRRRRRRRRR has it been cold there! Even in the arctic tundra of Canada it wasn't below zero yet.

Good Morning - and TGIF Fairbanks!

The winter wonderland that I love so much looks beautiful these past few days. I especially loved the sun setting on Mt Denali the other evening :)

Have a great weekend one and all!

Hey folks. I've been swamped with little free internet cruising time since my return from Canada last week but I wanted to pop in and say TGIF to everyone . . . and have a great weeekend!

Good Morning One and All.

WOW -12F there in Fairbanks. Cold weather has arrived in Milwaukee. I'm surprised it was actually warmer in Canada than there in Fairbanks.

Gas prices here are in the $2.15-$2.19 range here.

Have a great week!

LOL - I barely have enough PC storage space for all the photos I took (more than 1,500)! I took time to dump the blurry but will need to spend time this weekend to review/dump the duplicates of similar shots (you know, the rapid clicking away that produces a series of pics with minute variations).

I had bought a lens just for this trip (70-300mm which is the SLR equivelent of 140-600) which was critical for some of the shots, including the momma & cubs.

Thank you to everyone for your kind words about my photos. We leave Churchill tomorrow for Winnipeg . . . and I'll be home in Milwaukee on Thurday.

Look for my blog and PictureTrail pics later tonight or tomorrow. Today was a spectacular day in the blizzard!
