sdoownek, it's strange that you are condemning these people for trying to be prepared for an emergency. I find it to be in extremely poor taste that you would make comments of such negativity when you don't have a clue what may have or may not have happened.
I don't think you would appreciate that same attitude from people if something ever happened to a member of your family.

I remember Piggly Wiggly being there, but I don't remember a bowling alley being near there. 'Course I was just a young fella then, may have just not noticed it. That was back in the mid 1960's.

Mandatory insurance covers the other guy or "victim" in the accident. Seat belt laws cover the passengers or "victims" in a crash. Marijuana laws cover ... hmmm I don't know.
