Just like most of the Money pits that our state pays for it's all just eyewash, too make it look like they care. No ones feet is held to the fire to actually come through for us. GVEA just continues to hose us all with outrageous electric bill, thought electricity was supposed to be Cheap. Maybe for the rest of the lower 48. Not here

GVEA did retool, thanks for that lovely money pit in North Pole, 2500 gallons of fuel a day. What were they thinking, could have just built another Coal Plant or OPEN Healy plant already.. COAL is more abundant and would save millions is cost. Better yet, bring some of the little Nuclear plants from Japan... That cheap electric

Just turn off the lights, and let everyone leave. With fuel costs soaring through the roof and legislator's not doing anything, make me wonder who's oil is it anyway. Thought it was OURS

Weatherization programs are a pain, due to all the formaility you have to go through. I've already upgraded my windows, insulation and other numerous appliance over the last 4 years, but would have to start all over again. Send the energy rebate checks, and that would help everyone with heating fuel, gas and upgrading there homes for the upcoming winter. Now that would be a great relief for Alaskans, it is their oil anyway. $750 million is pretty cheap, when the state coffers are over flowing again and will continue to over flow.
On Energy programs receive fund boost; rebate still possible

If the people of Anchorage don't need or want it, divide their share to rest of us. I know I could use it, before this winter. $5.+ a gallon is going to be hard for us in the interior. Send the checks already. It's a persons choice on how to spend the money, I know mine will go for heating oil and gas. Thanks for trying Sarah and legislature please listen and do something already.

Blame the naysayer's and liberal'l that simply refuse to allow offshore drilling and drilling in America. We have enough oil. But their eyes are covered to the realization that our 60+% dependence on foreign oil is the primary reason for the high cost. OPEC knows this and is using it against us.. So till we have more refineries and more oil production on our own soil, just sit back and watch the price of gas and oil go up and the American ecomony continue to be torn down.

Nice planning, now only a few can show up for the Air Show, who thought this one through. 100% of the working people won't be able to make it. Thanks for this one Air Force

I'll believe it when I see it. So far the only thing our legislature has proven, is that they are full of hot air. The only thing dumber is that fact it's our oil (ALASKAN OIL) being shipped out and we are paying through the nose for our own oil. Check out how other oil producing nations are fairing at the pumps.... Middle East, is .40 - .60 a galloon. State can lock the instate price of fuel and oil, but they want to do that, that would show the residents that oil prices are what causing the serious hardships even in our own state, just sit and do nothing legislature and you'll get voted right out of office.
On State likely to drop energy debit card proposal; Alaskans may get cash instead

Too bad our legislators aren't listening. If they were the checks would be in the mail already. Most of them are loaded with cash and aren't feeling the pain, that the average Alaskan is enduring.
