CYBA- My Son is also stationed at Ft. Wainwright he has been there for three years (1 spent in Iraq) he also loves it; born and raised in the Fla Keys. I went up in September 2006 after after he got back from overseas and it is a beautiful state and the people are a delight. If you get the chance to visit your Grandson, do so. God bless and keep your Grandson safe in his deployment. I send prayers to all over there everyday ,my Son has been twice.

Flapalms

My Son, born and raised in the Fla Keys is now stationed in Fairbanks and loves it. I was out there Sept. 15, 2007; bought a heavy coat and closed in shoes for the trip. I wore the coat once and my closed in shores twice. In the morning was chilly 30 or so but not bad. Not a "wet" cold like we have here, very dry. I did learn that most things close after Sept.1 so I missed alot of things my Son wanted to show me. I can't wait to go back, perhaps in October this year. I would move there in a heartbeat, great people great land!
