Lagirl- no it does not mean free for all with the parking lot. it meant there are lots of people walking through a parking lot and the letter made it sound as if the person driving the car should be able to 'drive', not be cautious (spelling?) of being in a parking lot. i could be holding my kids hand and still have a near hit due to vision lines from a mirror or over the shoulder. I have almost been hit by a car in a parking lot and I am almost six foot, not under four foot. It means you are in a parking lot, wake up!

I have not heard one thing about your fundraising, how hard are you out there pushing it? Dont you ever watch TMZ? Any publicity is good publicity, right?
The comment made by the radio personality was a joke, get the knot out of your panties and start working for your fundraising!

Yes Paul- I believe that is a correct assumption. It could also mean to tell people that just because you are above median (middle) income for your family size you should still check in and see if you are eligible. The thing about that is you need to be at 80% of that median income to be eligible for the grants they offer, those numbers are $39900 for a family of one and $57,000 for a family of four.
The median income is also determined by HUD at the federal level and is meant to show the average of what people report on taxes for our area as income. It also allows for adjustments based on family size, these numbers are very liberal.

Bugger- the term used "at will state" refers to work. You work "at will", if you quit or are fired there is no explination needed; you worked "at (your own) will". Your employeer can fire you "at(there own) will".
I do believe that Pamela's issue with having two heart attacks not being a reason for SS benefits is open to question. If she has been cleared for a doctor that is one thing. The fact she has had TWO heart attacks makes me ask what caused the second and will it also cause a third if she is stressed? If a working enviornment can cause her to have a third that she might not live through then what is the hold up?
I do not like people that can work and dont because the system allows for that. I do feel that if someone is legitimately unable to contribute and has paid into their SS enough that they have been told they would recieve benefits if they become disabled they should get them without impurtinances from the courts. Thats my view anyway.

Okay, I can see the point of concern but at the same time YOU ARE IN A PARKING LOT! Of course you had to drive around pedestrians, it is not Salcha, it is the parking lot at a store that has half of the parking scrambled due to the construction on their building. Just to further the point, Chili's is at the back of the same parking lot.
Yes, parents do need to teach there kids safety. Do I expect a parent to run out after the little girl and admonish the child just because it startled you? So many people look at you as if they work at child enforcement when you raise your voice at your child in public, did you expect a show just so you felt they where paying attention? Do you know if the child had a stern talking to once back inside with the parents? I have a ten year old daughter and a seven year old daughter; if the seven year old did that (she would get in trouble, no doubt) and my oldest was the CLOSEST to reaching her, she would have pulled her sister over and I would have chewed her butt the second she got to me! Parenting is not a perfect science, you have to do the best you can and not every situation is going to be a public display just so the neighbors feel better.

What happens with those who are financially strapped, do they get to perform community service? And if they do, does that show against the fine you see on the trial court page that HAS A DISCLAIMER that tells you that the information you are using for the particular case you are looking up may not be accurate!
I am not saying the laws work or dont work for DWI's, I am pointing out that the authors source states up front that the information being used from that website is not always accurate or up to date. Check your sources, I would not accept this lack of research from the DNM or from one of its readers.

The Polaris sprinkler system, HA! Just a couple years ago (2001)after the Polaris was closed, the building was still hooked onto the utilidor (?spelling) using steam to heat the building. When the heat was shut off NO ONE thought about the sprinkler system! Golden Heart knew that they had a leak somewhere in town but they could not figure out where the leak was for a week. It took the water pouring out the front door onto the street for them to figure out where it was. Makes me think that they should have installed the sprinkler on the top floor and let it run through the whole building, maybe we wouldnt have this eye sore sitting empty today, it would have burnt down already!

Danzop- how are you going to ticket them if you cant even identify them? Have you seen a new law requiring that they have a license plate on thier bikes? That one I must have missed and I have been waiting so patiently for it to happen...
Bikes do need consideration, but consideration is a two way street with both sides watching the other and pointing the mistakes they make. For every inconsiderate driver, there is an inconsiderate person on a bike who thinks that they dont have to walk through an intersection with thier bike or wear a helmet or even use hand signals (you remember those dont you?) to let drivers know where they are going. OOHHH thats right, because they are on a bike they have the best of both worlds, I forgot.

akguy- to a certain degree I concure. But then again where were you when Kennedy got shot? How about Reagan or perhaps the space shuttle Columbia? There are certain things that make you say 'I remember that, I was with my dad fishing' or whatever. Its only human nature.
