We need to re-elect Ted Stevens. It is not fair that the Dems get to appoint a senater basically unapposed. After Ted Stevens is re-elected and the legal process has finished regarding his conviction, and if all of the appeals have failed to overturn the conviction, we then can have a fair campaign between 2 people after Ted is removed from his senate seat for being a convicted felon.

I think it kind of falls into the category of when you see a person with parkensons or some other dehabilitating disease walking toward you. You look in their general direction but you don't look at them in fear that they will think you are staring at them and maybe judging them. You know you do it. I've seen you.
I think the media is afraid of Obama. I think they are afraid to say anything bad because they may be labeleed... wait for it..."Racist". Oh My.
I think he is a wolf in sheeps clothing. I think he has something very bad going on behind those eyes and that cheshire grin.
It really worries me to read about people jumping out of their cars and screaming the Messiah as his motorcade drives by.
I am thankful the President has little to no power of controlling the USA. Other than foreign policy of course.
You all want to point fingers somewhere? Point them in the direction of the Congress and the Senate.
They make the decisions.

Chewtoy - I do not like speaking directly to or about others in this forum. This is supposed to be a place for comments, not debate. It does not matter what I would do, I am not running for office yet. Governor Palins children were not flown to see an MTV taping at the states expense. They were already in New York for campaign business and an invitation from Newsweek magazine extended an invitation to them. I don't see how that was unethical.
Shelobo - I find it impossible to believe Governor Palin sent her aides out and said, "get me gucci, get me prada." I'm guessing this Alaska girl had little idea what it was or how much it cost.

I have lived in Alaska for nearly 3 decades and never have I found so many nice people in one place. It saddens me greatly to read such negativity towards one of our own people who has achieved such great success on a world stage. I can only believe, deep down, that this must be coming from outside of Alaska. I believe John McCain will win come Nov. 4th and I greatly look forward to how proud the American people will become of our next Vice President Elect "Sarah Palin".

I am glad to see her family traveling and campaigning with her. That is where they should be and I think it gives the election an edge. It shows the american people that she is real. You Palin haters need to get a life.

It could be worse. Imagine what Hillary spends on make-up. What a bail out that would take. (shudders)

I think Gov. Palin needs to return to her roots and start wearing designer Carharts. That would be HOT! As for Obama's wardrobe, I'm sure it is funded by the same people who funded his Harvard education. Whomever that may be. I doubt there is a made in USA tag though, under those clothes.

I am amazed that we are operating with two local governments. Why do we have both a city government and a borough government for such a small population? It would make more sense to consolidate and then reassess the budget. After that is done, then evaluate the needs of all the people. The citizens of the borough work in and use the city of Fairbanks. The citizens of the city of Fairbanks work in and use the borough. An efficient government for the people is better than more government for the people.

Who is B.H.O?
From Dreams of My Father: 'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'
From Dreams of My Father: 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'
From Dreams of My Father: 'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'
From Dreams of My Father: 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'
From Dreams of My Father: 'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.'
And FINALLY the Most damning one of ALL of them!!!
From Audacity of Hope: 'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'
We CANNOT have someone with this type of mentality running our GREAT nation!! I don't care whether you are a Democrat or Republican. We CANNOT turn ourselves over to this type of character in a President.
