I wonder if the city will let me raise chickens in the back yard.

I agree. I go out to the SoCu flats often. Last weekend while I was out there with the rugrats there were more than two people shooting. THERES A SHOOTING RANGE NEARBY. Not to mention, we saw a severed moose head lying right on the side of the road. Needless to say, we cut our little road trip short. Initially, I was against the cleaning up of the SoCu flats. Now, I am all FOR it. It used to be the place we could go out and get away from town and traffic and drama, but too many people have abused the privilege. Now its nothing more than a dump. Way to go.

alaskaflower: I am so proud of you for embracing african-americans and native-americans. You are truly an example for the white majority. How often, however, have you found yourself the lone white girl in a crowd of natives, or on the streets of Watts?

The politically correct thing to do would be to abolish negativity towards minorities. But then what happens to the majority?

So if I, as a little white girl, were to visit one of the native villages, how would I be treated???
I do business with the bush areas on a daily basis. I've been called a "tunuk" (sp) on more than one occasion. To be honest I don't know exactly how this translates - but I have a pretty good idea. Should I write a letter every time I feel offended? I guess it doesn't matter, since I'm being paid for it. But still. Do I have a right as a white person to feel the effects of racism in our society?

BTW: Regal Cinemas is not exactly the politically correct venue for todays youth. Teach your kids how to deal with these issues or lock them up in the basement - your call.

YouMustBConfused: I suppose an apology is in order. I suspect from your defensive personal attacks that I have offended you. I did not mean to insult or discredit you in any way. I guess I was way off base thinking I could voice my opinion in a mature forum.
To be honest with you, I don't even know what "Freezy Frap" is supposed to mean. Because obviously, I'm just a dumb blond female with no intellectual basis to even be speaking on this topic.

BTW, You don't need to sign all your posts with "YouMustBConfused". We know... It's in big blue letters to the upper left of every comment you make.

ON TOPIC: Thanks to my "little tax deductions" I will be banking a nice check come May. And I'm not even ashamed of it in the least bit. Bring it ON!! Send me MORE!! I have plans for that cash. Interco is an AMERICAN company. I will be using them on AMERICAN land. Trust me, spruce trees bounce right back up after you run over them.

I may be a cold, heartless B****, but at least I'm honest.

I like the name Paxson. Trig and Van are pretty unique, but hey, its her baby. And personally I think that anyone who is blessed to have a child with down syndrome should consider themselves lucky.

Yukonjohn: I couldn't have said it better myself. Todd and Sarah ARE wonderful people. Trig is in great hands. Besides being the hottest governor in the nation, she is an incredible woman of immeasurable strength.

I just don't care whose "fault" the rebate checks are. Someone is sending me a check, so I'm happy. What matters most to me is what happens within the four walls that I live in. Call me ignorant, insensitive, selfish, whatever.

Fuel prices have gone up, which means I have less money to spend on beer. Big deal. I'm not whining and crying and throwing a big hissy fit about it, I've just adjusted my way of living as a result.

Contrary to what my high school guidance counselor told me, it is not in my power to change the world. I take what I get and make the best of it. High fuel prices to heat my home are the reason I couldn't buy my tires 2 months ago.

YouMustBConfused: I'm sure you are 100% right. My ramblings are definitely not worthy of your precious click-scroll-click lifestyle.

Why can't we just accept the fact that we all hate each other, and race is just the easiest way of justifying it?

I'm looking forward to my stimulus check. I plan on spending it on brand new 35" TSL SX's for my truck. Which, btw gets about 4 to 5 miles to the gallon and likely spews ridiculous amounts of pollutant gases into the atmosphere.
