One of these days, a lot of health nuts are going to feel pretty stupid, laying in a hospital and dying of nothing.

Heres some interesting news:
Political ticker - Sarah Palin's election push was temporarily halted today when her campaign bus was surrounded by dinosaurs in rural northern Illinois. The dinosaurs, carrying 'Obama 08' placards and wearing 'ACORN' t-shirts, used their tails to batter the bus, while a T-Rex tore the tires from the vehicle with its teeth. According to a Palin spokesman, most of the windows were smashed and it seemed likely the dinosaurs would eat everyone. "Mrs. Palin had her first test of leadership today." the spokesman declared, "She led us through almost 4 verses of 'Amazing Grace' while those beasts attacked; when she smacked a Triceratops on the horn with a hockey puck, it brought tears to my eyes." John McCain tried to reach the bus to provide aid, but his jet was shot down over Chicago and he was taken prisoner. The dinosaurs were finally struck down and turned into Alaska crude by an angry, vengeful God. Pelosi Democrats are investigating Sarah Palin's part in the attack, quoting an obscure Federal law requiring all dinosaurs to be registered and leashed; Senator Obama issued a statement blaming the attack on global climate change brought on by GOP involvement in the industrial-military complex. Upon hearing the news, Joe Biden fell off his bar stool and was unavailable for comment. Afterwards, Mrs. Palin was wrapped in a designer shawl while she clicked the heels of her $2000 pumps and declared "Theres no place like home, theres no place like home".

John Winkleman needs to stick to handing out aspirin, he's a nice guy with no real understanding of how the borough operates.
For example:
*What is the most important goal for the borough during the next five years? “Put in better shape the things we have now,” Winklmann said. “We need to make sure those areas are strong before we go off somewhere else,” he said. “I don’t think they’re strong now.”
*If they had to cut one program, which one would go? Winklmann criticized the number of staff in the borough office.
*They touched briefly on the landfill, which has been a hot-button topic here for quite some time. Winklmann said there is a definite need to revamp the emergency medical system.
NONE of these replies even comes close to answering the question raised.
Mayor Tallerico has done a good job and has my vote.

Back in 1990, the Government seized the Mustang Ranch brothel in Nevada for tax evasion and, as required by law, tried to run it.
They failed and it closed.
I see a similar result with the Platinum Jaxx. The government couldnt even make money selling booze and women during the relatively strong economy of the early 90s; the scary part is these same fools are now trying to run the entire financial system of the US.
I bet the other partners in the Jaxx are real happy to be partners wit the feds.

alaskaflower, its more likely another example of a non-scientific news editor cramped for space and trying to cut the article to size while keeping with the gist of the topic.
Mabey we'll get lucky and Ms. Alix will write a letter to the editor and explain these dates.

Dr. Kramm and Brandon, you got it right. The truth is, the largest effect on global climate is 'El Nino', and scientists have yet to build a computer model that can even predict this anomoly, much less model it into their calculations. Global warming is a myth perpetrated by those who wish to control the masses by giving them something to fear, rather than a scientific fact proven by hands-on research. Should climate change be proven true, it will no doubt be found that it is an earth-cycle event totally independent of influence by mans actions.
