The DA might be charging Ted Wicken with running a red light.
All you people have been in this situation were you are waiting to turn left and you are in the middle of the intersection, the light turns yellow. The on coming traffic should be stopping, or a car has stopped. You start your turn and the person in the on coming lane speeds up to run the yellow light. If a car has stopped for a yellow light and Ted Wicken went around him, you would have a witness.
If this is the case then the DA would be right to charge Ted.
We will have to wait and see what the facts are.
