Adam Raeder
Sports reporter
Call Adam at 907-459-7583.
Sportswriter Adam Raeder joined the News-Miner team after arriving in Fairbanks on the 2006 summer solstice, moving to the 49th State from Madison, Wis., where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin. During his time in Madison, Adam wrote for the university’s two school papers, The Daily Cardinal and The Badger Herald, and produced a sports webcast called “Ten Questions About... .” Growing up in the suburbs of Cleveland (where he had his heart broken time and time again by Cleveland sports teams), Adam spent his summers playing baseball, where he wielded a mean glove playing second base and right field. Adam now spends his free time playing euchre and watching sports (which, yeah, he also does for a living. But hey, it’s a sweet gig!).
