To the editor:
We all want to believe in positive change and hope. Unfortunately, we can be sold a slick package of hollow promises. We are in trouble when outside money is in such abundance that there is sufficient funding to repeat a lie enough times that it becomes the truth. Mark Begich is a seriously flawed candidate whose life and actions are the antithesis of his advertisements.
Mark is a person with a high school education that has spent his adult life honing the skills of expediency and self-enrichment at the expense of open government, honesty and transparency. I lived in Anchorage for more than 10 years and saw Mark’s defective character in action. Before Mark joined the municipal assembly, issues were openly debated and aired during meetings. After Mark became an assembly member, openness and transparency withered.
When concerns reached the assembly regarding local school district spending, the assembly voted to hire an outside auditor to investigate, at public expense. The results were not flattering to Mark’s friends on the school board. Mark attempted to hide the report until he could put a positive spin on the conclusions. He hoped to present his summary to the public. Mark hit the roof when a municipal employee sent the report to the local press.
When Mark was running for mayor, he held a secret meeting in his brother’s office in violation of the Open Meetings Act, to derail an assembly sponsored ballot referendum requested by parents in the community. When the meeting came to light and Mark was faced with a recall, he had the municipal attorney sue all the signers of the recall petition in a SLAPP (Strategic Law Suit Against Public Participation) suit. Mark lost that election, but the community and parents lost their right to be heard.
Mark has not handled city finances any better than he has handled his own personal investments. While Mark has been mayor of Anchorage, he has increased municipal spending and the attendant taxes on municipal residents. Mr. Begich has always been a bad penny and that fact will not change. He has managed to short change the people of the Anchorage area for years and if given a State wide office the entire State will be short changed for a long as he is in that office. Alaska needs its current Senator returned and working hard for Alaska...
Anchorage and Mat Su will determine who the next Senator will be. Let's face it Fairbanks has very little to say anymore about what goes on in this State, especially when less than 20 % of the voters bother to turn out. Why do you think the politicians only make a token whistle stop here. How much do you want to bet, most people don't even realize next Tuesday is primary day and will wonder why all the people are holding signs at Geist and University.
He's got my vote.

It's good to know that it's not just me that finds that slightly annoying. (Along with his propensity for saying "FACT!" after every statement of opinion.)
I've just mostly assumed that Hybrid is like that little retarded kid in the back of the class. He makes all sorts of noises that don't make sense. Sometimes, rarely, the noises make sense.....but only to the other retarded kids.
In short, the "....LOLOLOLOLOLOOOOLLLLL!!!..." is just Hybrid showing us his innermost, deepest thoughts. I, for one, am glad that he exists with that much happiness and humor in his life. He laughs at issues that most of us consider serious, and that's admirable. It's also a wonderful that this community does indeed embrace our mentally challenged members.
As with most retards, however, he does engage in imitation and impersonation. Be aware that you risk him posting comments under an assumed name, such as "cmunr0", in order to make people believe that you're a 89 year old gay tortoise from Uganda.
We don't need another lefty demonocrat to give that traitor Harry Reid any more power. We don't need another demonocrat that doesn't get it on the war on terror.We don't need another lying sack oh horse crap like Begich anywhere near a position of power.....Period
