To the editor:
In Iraq at this time last year a helicopter was lost, along with its crew of four. Staff Sgt. Stan Reynolds left an imprint on this life, from Fox to Iraq, and was finally laid to rest at his Virginia place of birth. He is missed by family and friends that were graced by his brief influence on those of us left behind to carry on.
Stan is remembered in Fox. He is honored at Fort Wainwright. Restoring an old Ford truck is how we recall him with the same diligence he gave to the mechanical dragonfly, the Chinook. Lost, but not forgotten. Local media aggressively pursued this story, a letter was published as “The Ghost Of Fox.” Few would be quoted in print.
A memento was left at the site where Stan turned his wrench in Fox. On this first year of his tragic and sudden passing, he is on a tour of duty that we hold in our eternal prayers.
Staff Sgt. Stan Reynolds, thank you for your inspiration and example.

I never knew this young man, But as a resident of Fox, I feel his loss. I send my condolences to his family and friends in this time of sorrow and pain. I am so sorry for you loss.
God bless Mr. Reynolds in his life and in his passing. Those left behind, you are in my prayers.
It's good to remember.
I know a gentlemen personally that was very close with the soldiers. He was apart of their battlion... I say this on his behalf and on behalf of the soldiers at Ft. Wainwright who still mourn their death....
DRY ICE 41 FOREVER!
I knew him and worked with him. He was a good soldier and very dependable. I am glad you are remembering him. Also there were 5 soldiers lost on that aircraft. Just for you information. Thanks again.

God bless this solider. Please take a moment of silence to remember all the lives lost in this war. I lost my brother in law in Iraq on 9-5-05. He died defending this country and he loved being raised in Alaska. Thank a military member when you see them out somewhere. You don;t know how much a simple thank you can mean to them and their families. say a prayer for our military members. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't have the freedom we have.
