Alaska woman gets six months in Halloween trick-or-treat holdup

Published Friday, July 25, 2008

ANCHORAGE -- A woman who was involved in a robbery of trick-or-treaters in Talkeetna has been sentenced in federal court.

Kendra Butts was sentenced Wednesday for agreeing to cover up evidence in the truck police say she and others used while robbing trick-or-treaters at gunpoint last year.

A news release from the U.S.Attorney's office says she will serve six months in federal prison.

The 19-year-old still faces sentencing on a state robbery charge.

Authorities say she and another woman, Amber Martin, got out of a car wearing ski masks, shot into the air and held up seven children on Halloween night.

I think the Newsminer should get the title right next time. They have YET to be sentenced in STATE Court for the HALLOWEEN ROBBERY! She was sentenced for covering up another crime.
