I can't belive that people in Fairbanks have to resort to stealing a backpack with school books. If they were at the university, don't you think the backpack would have books in it? SCORE!! Maybe the school books where for Criminal Justice.
I can't believe people are stupid enough to leave laptops, wallets, and purses in thier cars. Bet they will not do that again.
Maybe they thought there was a laptop in with the books. If people hide there stuff people won't be as enticed to steal.
here we go again with the Regal Cinemas.
bogtrotter52,
What? I sure hope you are joking!
Regal Cinemas will not beef up security unless it increases their profit. Don't hold your breath.
Used to be you could keep ALL your belongings unlocked in your car or otherwise, and no one would bother them. I remember people gawking at me for putting a lock on my house door. ("Just looking at the rift-raft putting a lock on her door. What have you got worth someones life? and "What if someone has to get in?" was another" were the comments made.) Wasn't till the late 1980s till anyone stole anything out of anyone's cars. You could keep your car running and unlocked downtown Fairbanks till the 1990s. What's up with people these days?
Don't answer that....I know. Sad, trully tragic, POOR Fairbanks!!!!!!! Used to be the sweetest place on earth.
We had kids steal something out of the back of our truck while we were sitting in it at Regal Cinemas. They were quick, much quicker than we were, I sure hope they enjoyed that $154.00 ink cartridge for our hp printer. I know they will find great use for it as I am sure they had an hp printer just like it at home. It was in a bag, they didn't even know what they were taking, they were just taking what they could grab. Some punk probably driving his mommies car.
