William PInkham of Glennwood Springs, Colo. crosses the Yukon River as he approaches Eagle on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, during the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race. Pinkham ran the Quest in 2001 and 2002 and is returning after running the Iditarod Trail Race for the past five years. He had signed up for the 2008 Iditarod but has already withdrawn.
