Darryl Salmon positions the cross marking the grave of the Rev. David Salmon during his burial Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, in the Chalkyitsik cemetery. Salmon is the grandson of the First Traditional Chief of the Athabascan people of the Interior of Alaska. He died at the age of 95, in his home, surrounded by family and friends.
