A skier wearing bib No. 565 basks in the warmth of the sunshine after finishing the 43-kilometer course during the Sonot Kkaazoot ski race Saturday, March 22, 2008, at the Birch Hill Recreation Area. "Oh, it feels so nice," he said of the sun, adding that it felt like sitting in a sauna. The race, which features both a 20-kilometer and 50-kilometer course and usually starts and finishes on the Chena River downtown, was rerouted to be run entirely at Birch Hill with the longest run being shortened to 43K.
