The leftover trail markers for the final seven kilometers line the finish chute during the Sonot Kkaazoot ski race Saturday, March 22, 2008, at the Birch Hill Recreation Area. The race, which features both a 20-kilometer and 50-kilometer course and usually starts and finishes on the Chena River downtown, was rerouted to be run entirely at Birch Hill with the longest run being shortened to 43K.
