NINILCHIK, Alaska - Two men have been charged with driving under the influence while operating a snowmachine.

Alaska State Troopers investigated a report that a snowmachine had crashed near Ninilchik and then fled the area.

Investigating officers found two men and charged both Johnny Marmon of Ninilchik and Jamie Yeargan of Eagle River with DUI. Troopers say Yeargan also was charged with driving while his license was suspended.

Troopers say their investigation found Marmon of Ninilchik was driving the snowmachine when it crashed, and Yeargan of Eagle River took control when it left the scene.

So many things wrong with this story. How did the sled flee the scene of the crash? Were the 2 guys DUI on the sled or after they were found later? What part of this state do you need a license to drive a snowmachine? Might want to do a re-write on this one....
