The Anchorage Daily News reports his initial lawyer is off the case because Kohring is suing him over a car accident.
Kohring, along with former House Speaker Pete Kott, is appealing a corruption conviction.
The two were released from prison in June because prosecutors failed to disclose evidence in their favor before the 2007 trial.
Kohring's new attorney will have until Nov. 23 to propose a deadline for filing a motion on how the judge should deal with government's withholding evidence.
Or if you prefer, I will paraphrase: I think every politician should serve two terms- one in office and one in prison.

The second option is to have another trial with the missing evidence entered so a jury can make the decision. Whatever the jury decides will bring justice to this case.
In all these political corruption cases of late the press coverage had more to do with the convictions than the actual evidence. New trials will not be subject to an energetic press with an agenda.
I pick option one. Then prosecute the justice department folks for their corruption in all this and let a jury decide their fate based on all the evidence provided. Accepting bribes is one corruption but using power to set aside the rights of the people to get a conviction is another more dangerous corruption.
And someone call the press on this so they can use the same level of energy seen in the first round of the corruption game.
