Topic: H1N1: What’s known and how it impacts the workplace
Presented by: Susan O’Toole
Public Health Emergency Preparedness Nurse, Interior Region
With over 30 years of nursing experience and education, Susan came to Fairbanks in September of 2004 and was the School Nurse at Hunter Elementary through April, 2007. Since then she has been the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Nurse for the Interior Region. In addition to school and public health nursing, Susan has worked in oncology and in pediatrics—inpatient, and in various outpatient settings working with children with developmental and neurological disabilities and their families. Her presentation will briefly cover what is known about H1N1 and how we can be prepared to deal with it when/if our family/workplaces are impacted. There will plenty of time for questions, so bring yours with you when you join us for lunch.
