Public safety report-Jan. 6

The Public Safety Report is compiled from criminal complaints filed in state and federal courts, as well as some police blotter information, trooper dispatches, fire department reports and interviews with public safety officials. Individuals named as arrested and/or charged with crimes in this report are presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.
Assault
• Timothy D. Ketzler, Jr., 44, of Nenana was charged with fourth-degree assault after he allegedly punched a woman in the face on Thursday.
• Travis Lewis Revis, 21, of Fairbanks was charged with fourth-degree assault on a police officer after he allegedly headbutted a Fairbanks police officer on Thursday. Police were investigating a possible domestic dispute at his home at the time.
• Thomas Robert Smith, 29, of Fairbanks was charged with fourth-degree assault after he allegedly tried to breakdown the door of his ex-girlfriend’s house on Thursday. When Alaska State Troopers arrived, they found that he was belligerent and waving his finger in their faces.
Troopers attempted to restrain him while conducting their investigation, but he tried to kick them and later tried to kick out the window of a patrol car, according to a criminal complaint filed in court. Smith also was charged with resisting arrest.
• Michael Charles Wood, 20, of Fairbanks was charged with fourth-degree assault after he allegedly tried to kick a woman and grab her with his legs on Thursday.
DUI
• Shannon Lynn Bach, 31, of Fort Wainwright was charged with driving under the influence after a guard performing an ID check at the front gate became suspicious that she had been drinking. A chemical test found her breath-alcohol content to be 0.176.
• John David Brakefield, 53, of Fairbanks was charged with driving under the influence after troopers observed him fail to signal a turn on Wednesday night on University Avenue. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.129.
• Joseph Michael Dorsey, 51, of North Pole, was charged with driving under the influence after North Pole police noticed him fail to stop at a posted sign Thursday on Santa Claus Lane near
5th Avenue. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.095.
• Jenna Louise C. Fogelman, 22, of North Pole was charged with driving under the influence after North Pole police spotted her driving with no headlights on Santa Clause Lane near 5th Avenue. A chemical test found her breath-alcohol content to be 0.168.
