Chevak girl dies in accidental shooting

Stumble It!CHEVAK, Alaska -- An 11-year-old Chevak girl has died from injuries suffered in an accidental shooting.
Alaska State Troopers say Mary Friday was struck in the head Sunday when a shotgun being cleaned by her father, 49-year-old Morris Aguchak, accidentally discharged.
The girl was flown to Anchorage and died there.
Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters says the state medical examiner will conduct an autopsy.
Chevak is a village of 942 about 140 miles northwest of Bethel.
