Eielson Ravens face huge halftime deficit against Stars

Published Saturday, October 11, 2008

ANCHORAGE -- The Soldotna Stars are likely to earn yet another trip to the small schools state championship as they hold a 49-12 lead over the Eielson Ravens at halftime.

The Ravens opened the game with an 83-yard kickoff return touchdown by Colten Growden, but the Stars quickly too over from there, as only their final drive of the half produced no points.

Soldotna Anthony Griglione has three rushing touchdowns. Fellow Stars backs Kyle Wood, Braden Price and Zayan Aberkane each ran for a touchdown. Aberkane also threw for a touchdown.

The Ravens got into the end zone again with a 65-yard passing play from Growden to Charles King.
