Safe Sunday

This weekend is Safe Sunday throughout the Catholic Diocese of Fairbanks. This is a time set aside for parishes to redouble their efforts to protect children and youth from sexual abuse and to ensure a safe environment. Children in religious education classes will be viewing age-appropriate training tapes. Offerings are held for parents, volunteers and employees.

On Sunday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Terry Kelly, a counselor with Hope Counseling Center, will deliver a talk at 10:15 a.m. on the impact abuse has on victims. The public is invited. Information: 474-9032.
