JUNEAU, Alaska -- A one-car crash sent three Juneau teenagers to a hospital.

Juneau police say they responded to a call of the incident Wednesday night and found a car on its roof near False Outer Point on Douglas Island.

The car had slammed into the rock face on the side of the highway before rolling.

A 17-year-old boy had been driving and two 19-year-old women were passengers.

Police say the driver initially reported the crash had occurred on the Thane Road south of Juneau.

The three people were taken by ambulance to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment.

The car was impounded.
