To the editor:
Gas and energy prices are out of control. We need John Brown in Juneau now — he’s made a career of asking the tough questions and making the tough choices.
John Brown knows that companies are making billions in record profit while we Alaskans are paying more at the pump than ever have before.
John will take a hard look at what’s going on, and John will take action. If you want results, not just chatter, please vote for John Brown in November.

Oil has dropped below $90 a barrel, a $60 drop since July.. We need someone who understand basic economics related to the oil market. Oil will continue to drop and with it the billions that the State makes to operate government. We need a candidate who is willing to cut spending and realize that the few years of large budget surplus is over and Alaska will have to cope with it. Let's hear what his position is on government spending from his supporters.
John has been supportive of the people of fairbanks while Jay Ramras has voted against Fairbanks citizens getting relief from electric and fuel oil cost. When a candidate quits representing the people he serves, it's time to take a walk.

we need HIGHER oil prices..it's where we get our money!
oil closed out at $87 and they are expecting it to continue to drop, because believe it or not the dollar is increasing in value as the rest of the world's economy is failing. The days of extreme budget surplus may be over for Alaska. They are now saying this economic mess will take 3 to 5 years before any effects of this bailout is seen. From what I have read, I have yet to find one candidate that is willing to say, we are heading for some very rough times and the government needs to begin to take major reductions in what it spends. Besides California, N.Y. and Maine are now talking about Federal bailouts. Alaska has a savings account, lets just hope whoever get elected doesn't go on spending sprees.
