FORT BENNING, Ga. -- Jason Parker and Keith Sanderson qualified for the Beijing Olympics in three-position rifle and rapid-fire pistol on Monday.

Parker and Sanderson each won their events at the U.S. shooting trials. Matt Emmons, a former member of the University of Alaska Fairbanks rifle team, had already earned a spot on the U.S. team in three-position.

Parker, who will also represent the U.S. in air rifle, scored 3,709.5 points to beat out Mike Anti in three-position. Anti won the silver medal in three-position in 2004. That competition in Athens was memorable because Emmons held a commanding lead before accidentally shooting at the wrong target on his final attempt.

Sanderson scored 2,129.5 points in rapid-fire. John Ennis was second with 2,119. Five-time Olympian John McNally was fourth.
