Haines to host Outdoors Woman workshop

Stumble It!JUNEAU -- The "Becoming an Outdoors Woman" summer workshop is taking place in Haines in August.
Registration is now open for the three-day event that starts Aug. 1 at the Rainbow Glacier Camp.
The workshop is sponsored by the state Department of Fish and Game and the Outdoor Heritage Foundation of Alaska.
Organizers say the event will feature introductory courses in hunting and shooting sports, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Altogether, 22 courses will be offered.
The $250 registration fee includes classes, meals and lodging. People signing up before June 16 will get a $25 discount.
