ATLANTA -- Delta Air Lines Inc. will provide engine overhaul and repair services for Alaska Airlines in a seven-year, $200 million deal between the two carriers.

Delta said Thursday that its maintenance division, Delta TechOps, will service the CFM56-7 engines that power Seattle-based Alaska's fleet of Boeing 737-700 and 737-900 aircraft.

Delta, based in Atlanta, said the deal will leverage its partnership with Chromalloy Gas Turbine Corp.

Delta TechOps provides maintenance and engineering support for Delta's fleet and also serves more than 125 aviation and airline customers from around the world.

Delta announced in November 2007 that Chromalloy would manufacture lower cost alternative parts that Delta could use to repair and overhaul engines. Delta said at the time that the partnership was expected to generate $1 billion in revenue over 10 years that the two companies would share.

Chromalloy is New York-based Sequa Corp.'s largest business unit. Alaska Airlines' parent company is Seattle-based Alaska Air Group Inc.
