Or was he arrested solely on his intentions? Details, please FDNM, when you can provide them.

No bail? But yet in Anchorage a man on federal parole shoots up 2 houses and gets $50,000 bail. Whatever...

Madoff, who crippled banks and corporations, got bailed.

Kenny Lay, who duped retirees out of their hard-earned savings, and killed Enron, got bailed.

The three murderers who killed Dan Frederick, all had bail set.

This guy tried to take some alternative smokables into Nome (where you just -know- there's never been a joint burned before...), (which might've at least helped to bolster local burger sales, and do who-knows-what-else for the economy there), and he gets no bail???... Is there more to this story than has been printed here, or is this further evidence of the level of insanity that's apparently rampant amongst those who orchestrate the 'War On (Some) Drugs'??

Another seriously dangerous criminal removed from circulation in Alaska....

We can all rest easier now.

"Move along folks. There's nothing to see here..."

Word son. It's just Marijuana. Its not like its soda pop and candy which probably do more damage
to those in the village (if not you understand the spirit of my hyperbole).

If marijuana was legalized and taxed... And alcohol criminalized.. What would happen to the crime rate? How much could be realized in savings to the penal system? What would be the ratio of deaths on the highway and at home before and after??
One must think that the prohibition against marijuana, stems from the lawmakers themselves who are accepting campaign contributions from the alcohol and pharmaceutical industries in order to financially benefit their Corporate Donors and ultimately themselves.
Conflict of Interest and Collusion! Does it make them complicit in the crimes caused by drunken homicidal maniacs?
What would you rather see.... A drunken homicidal maniac with a knife, hammer, or gun... or a bombed out zombie??

Troopers say they received an anonymous tip.

Oh, the varied ways & means & reasons to receive an anonymous tip always leaves doubts of premeditation in my mind of the intent & relevance & priorities of the tipster/rat/snitch/revenger/plea bargain.

Dudes, racism is as damaging, harmful, wrong for you as it is to the intended human being it is applied to.

It's simple. Stop racism. Stomp stomp stomp.

Legalize POT! I don't see "driving while stoned" arrests. If someone has 4 beers or 3 drinks,...they're usually legally intoxicated, yet alcohol, far more deadly and addictive is legal. Marijuana is a plant,...so is tobacco.

    People smoke pot EVERYWHERE.

    Legalize POT!

Don't drink ...don't smoke ..don't do drugs..and I have noticed when ever anyone says anything about native people no matter how small you try and make a"RACIST " issue out of it...and Mamma....ever heard of "DUI"???

There is so much to do around the village during the winter months why would someone waste it on doing illegal things? Boredom is a choice of many options in life. Sixty five years (even born in a village) I never had time to be bored. The Alaskan land (oh! The LAND) has so much to offer. Get HIGH on its offering.
I’m glad to the village of White Mountain that there is less drugs for bringing in the New Year.
Happy New Year to you all.

sure notpc, if insinuating that natives are going to "uprise" because there is "no alcohol" is NOT racist in your "book" then YOU have issues.

I could say the people in Lakeview trailer park will "uprise" if Fairbanks ever runs out of meth, but that would be stupid and ignorant.

But apparently it's ok for you to stereotype natives with alcohol.
