Gunman picks poor choices in Alaska robbery attempt
Published Tuesday, December 2, 2008
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- This robber chose the wrong victims.
Police say Benjamin Galdo, an Alaska commercial fisherman, and Kyle Dickerson-Lockwood, an amateur hockey player, were confronted by an armed man while returning to their room at the Anchorage Sheraton early Monday morning.
The suspect took them inside the hotel room, where police say he pointed the gun at their heads and demanded money.
Instead, they overpowered him and knocked the gun from his hand.
Police spokesman Lt. Dave Parker says the suspect, 22-year-old Terry Butler of Anchorage, lost consciousness in the fray. Parker says Butler woke up in a closet with a hotel security guard standing over him.
Parker says Butler has been charged with assault and two counts of robbery.

I wonder just how he 'lost consciousness'...... lol!
Way to go guys!!!
Cool, just like the posse at the Oasis a few years ago. Put one of those two thugs in the back of an ambulance, not a cop car.
It's been a bad week for bad guys....
That is a great ending. =)
sounds like a dope deal gone bad.
He must have 'bumped' his head when he went in the closet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alaska is a bad place for bad guys! Lots of brave soles and lots of gun owners, you'd have to be stupid to attempt some of the stuff that these guys do. It doesn't suprise me one bit that we have so few home invasions here in the interior. If the male of the family doesn't shoot you, the wife will, and if the wife cant the 9 year old son or daughter will, theres plenty of different caliber rifles and handguns in interior homes, something will end up working!
HOORAY!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Don't those silly bad guys know --Even the women carry guns up here!!!
HAHAHAHAHHAAHHA! Can't hardly wait to hear him tell his pals!! HAHAHAHA!
Peace

And Obama wants to take the good guys guns away! They should have made him permanently consciousnes. Save the tax dollar money and the BS of a court system. Why wasn't he charged with attempted murder? He did point a gun to their heads, I would say he was going to kill them. Fear of their lives.
Now thats crime stopping!
