Letter to the Editor
How dumb?

To the editor:
How dumb are we Alaskans? There is a politician who wants to stop corruption by replacing an incumbent. There are 50 senators in Washington, D.C., and numerous congressmen and he/she is going to stop corruption? How dumb are we Alaskans?
This politician also says he/she isn’t going to accept a single penny from Big Oil and special interests. What does a penny buy nowadays in Alaska? Can anyone be influenced by a penny? How dumb are we Alaskans?
This politician goes on to say that he/she wants to take back Alaska. I didn’t realize that anyone or country had taken over Alaska. How dumb are we Alaskans?
I am going to vote my single vote in August and feel that I made a smart decision. Thank you.

Don’t you mean 50 Congressmen? If you want to complain at least know what you are talking about.
Reggy -
Take a pill.....are you sad you didn't get the call this morning?
I thought there were 50 states...
Why bother to print this nonsense?
Try 100 Senators. I think it is time to go back and give a test before one can vote.
I thought there were 58 states.
"How dumb are we Alaskans?" - pretty dumb if this letter is any indication. DNM editors must be on vacation to let this junk through.
Ok people, its 50 states, 100 senators, and 435 congressmen. How many congressmen you get depends on the size of your state. We get 1 and I think California has the most at 54.
WOW! Brilliant! Oh by the way, if you were to ask Obama we have 57 states because hes been to all of them...apparently it's not just Alaskans that are dumb.....
4 of the 9 Territories of the United States (American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands) each have a delegate in the House of Representatives. Also, the District of Columbia, has a representative in the House, but no Senators. So 50 states and 9 territories, and the capital district it is confusing and we should keep up with it better. Now for the foreign embassy exam... how many of those does the United States have and where are they located?
Maybe a few night classes would get him/her back up to speed,
Alaskans are dumb. They just voted for man indicted of corruption to run as a candidate for the U.S. Senate.
