Public Safety Report — August 27

The Public Safety Report is compiled from criminal complaints filed in state and federal courts, as well as some police blotter information, trooper dispatches, fire department reports and interviews with public safety officials. Individuals named as arrested and/or charged with crimes in this report are presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Burglary

Alaska State Troopers are investigating a report of a burglary that occurred Aug. 17 in Chalkyitsik.

An undisclosed amount of property was reported stolen from the Village Council Office.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call troopers at 451-5100.

Vehicle collision

A Fairbanks man trapped a tractor trailer was rescued Aug. 19 by emergency personnel.

Charles Boots 62, was driving southbound on the Dalton Highway near Livengood when he rolled off the road, trapping himself.

He was transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.

The tractor was destroyed and damage to the trailer was estimated at $5,000. Troopers are still investigating the crash.
