Body of missing Alaska village man found

Published Tuesday, August 5, 2008

ANCHORAGE -- The body of a 44-year-old missing Tuntutuliak man has been found.

Alaska State Troopers say Andrew Evan's body was recovered Monday afternoon from the Tuntutuliak River by searchers from the Western Alaska village.

The previous evening, Evan's boat was found circling the river with no one on board.

Locals immediately launched a search, but failed to find Evan.

Troopers in Bethel were notified and coordinated the subsequent search.

Foul play is not suspected.
