Ice Dogs look to thank fans

Published Tuesday, April 29, 2008

Though they were thousands of miles from Fairbanks, the Ice Dogs were well aware of the support they were recieving back home during the playoffs.

Now they want to show their thanks.

The Ice Dogs will hold a celebration from 7-9 p.m. today at the Fairbanks Moose Family Center as a way to say thank you to all the fans who packed the Center while they were away.

The celebration is open to Moose members and their guests. To become a guest, contact Ryan Bush at 460-0205.

Seating is limited and beverages will be available.

“If you can’t make it to the Moose (tonight), the entire organization of the Fairbanks Ice Dogs wants to say ‘Thank you,’ and we’re looking forward to another great run next year.,” Bush said.

The Ice Dogs saw their season come to a close Sunday with a 5-4 overtime loss to Topeka in Game 5 of a North American Hockey League playoff series.

The Ice Dogs will get back to town today, with their flight landing at 7:50 a.m.
