Thanks to one and all: spellers, sponsors, and spectators!! We salute the 78 brave spellers on 26 teams who spelled well for the Literacy Council of Alaska. The 17th Annual Fairbanks Daily News-Miner Biz Bee was a tremendous success. We had tons of fun, everybody spelled like champs and we raised
$27,800
17 Year Total… Over $325,000!
Funds go toward programs such as Adult Literacy Program, Family Literacy Program and Book Recycling Program.

First Place: Rotary Stellar Spellers of Downtown Fairbanks Rotary Club: Barbara Schuhmann, Dan Bergeron, & Bob Howard.
Second Place: Word Medics of Fairbanks Memorial Hospital: Jenny Patch, Victor Johanson, & Ellen Foster.
Third Place: The CRAYons of Arctic Region Supercomputing Center: Kate Hedstrom, Dale Clark, & Greg Newby.
