Dyer, who ran at Stanford after a standout prep career at Lathrop, covered the 13.1-mile course in 1 hour, 14 minutes, 53.8 seconds to finish less than a minute ahead of Eversman, a Eielson standout who competed for the Alaska Nanooks while in college.
Eversman crossed the finish line in 1:15:34.9 in the race that started and finished at the Flint Hills Resources refinery in North Pole, where runners were treated to a barbecue lunch following the event.
The top two finishers were about two minutes ahead of their nearest competitors.
Rounding out the list of top five finishers were Matthew Kotlarski in 1:17:33.6, Mike Kramer in 1:18:27.4 and Einar Often in 1:19:36.9.
Lewis captured the women’s title and placed 11th overall with a time of 1:30:06, more than eight minutes ahead of second-place finisher Dorli McWayne (1:38:17.5).
Rounding out the top five women were Janna Miller in 1:39:03.4, Suzy Goodwin in 1:39:04.6 and Hope Wroblewski in 1:39:50.6.
Nearly 250 runners and walkers — 141 women and 106 men — competed in the event, which is the sixth of eight races in the Flint Hills Resources Series that determines the top overall and age-group runners in the Interior.
Women’s age-group winners were Chloe Manner, 9 and younger; Goodwin, 18-29; Elizabeth Anderson 30-34; Robbin Garber-Slaught, 35-59; Lewis, 40-44; Cindy Bravo, 45-49; Erika Van Flein, 50-54; McWayne, 55-59; Linda Unsicker, 60-64; Monte Jordan, 60-65; Phyllis Church, 70-74; and Janette Hanneman, 80 and older.
Men’s age-group winners were Robert Hostager, 15-17; Eversman, 18-29; Eric Jensen, 30-34; Dyer, 35-39; Kramer, 40-44; Robert Weeden, 45-49; Joe Trubacz, 50-54; Greg Finstad, 55-59; Steve Bainbridge, 60-64; Pete Hjellen, 65-69; and Jim Madonna, 70-74.
A pair of races are on tap next weekend — the Mount Healy Challenge on Saturday and the Run For the Refuge on Sunday.
The next race in the Flint Hills Cup Series is the Golden Heart Trail Run on Aug. 28 at the Birch Hill Recreation Area.
The final race in the series is Sept. 18 Equinox Marathon.
