Alaska state Sen. Kookesh apologizes to city of Craig
JUNEAU, Alaska - State Sen. Albert Kookesh has written a letter of apology to the city of Craig for comments he made at a January council meeting.
A legislative committee determined Kookesh violated ethics laws by implying he would trade his influence on state-funded Craig projects for a council vote that would benefit Sealaska Corp. in a land deal. The Angoon Democrat is chairman of the Native corporation's board.
The ethics committee ordered Kookesh to write a letter of apology to the City Council and provide copies to all legislators, news media in his district and others who requested it.
The Prince of Wales Island community has received the letter, and some officials are ready to move on.
Council member Jim See told the Juneau Empire: "We got the letter; it's over."
Lets impeach this loser and vote in a person with some integrity. If Mr. Salmon is calling people White Devils lets get rid of his predjudiced butt as well, I haven't seen where he does much except sit around like the old women with scarves and nod his head. Has he ever had an original thought or brought forth a bill in all these years? Tammy Wilson has been in Juneau a few months , already heads a sub committee and is bringing on proposed legislation and co sponsoring others what does Salmon do? I'll tell you nothing at all except seek donations for his re-election . Lets set term limits and force these clowns out !!!
The whole state government is as rotten as D.C.
