ADAK, Alaska - The U.S. Geological Survey reports a moderate earthquake has struck in the Andreanof Islands region of Alaska.
According to the USGS, the magnitude 5.3 earthquake was recorded at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. It was centered some 30 miles south of Adak, a village on Alaska's Kuluk Bay.
The Alaska Earthquake Information Center says the tremor was felt in Adak, but there were no reports of damages.
