RICHLAND, Wash. - Fans of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin have lined up outside the Hastings bookstore for her Sunday appearance to sign copies of her new book.

Palin is in the Tri-Cities area visiting family during the Thanksgiving holiday. She is scheduled to sign copies of her book "Going Rogue" on Sunday afternoon.

Nancy Daniel of Benton City says she showed up 26 hours before the event. After driving by the store numerous times Friday and this morning, she decided it was time to pull out a chair.

Invictus - "As buyers' regret settles in amongst independent voters, Sarah is looking mighty prescient."

Sooo... Sarah is looking like she has knowledge of things before they happen...? She barely has knowledge of things AS they happen.

Sarah is looking the same as she always looked - like an aging, self-centered beauty queen who's not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree.

I wonder why the DNM didn't print this story:

PALIN QUITS BEFORE FINISHING THE 5K TURKEY TROT RACE

On Wednesday, Sarah Palin excitedly announced on Twitter that she was going to be running a 5K Turkey Trot charity race in Washington state on Thanksgiving day. Large crowds of people turned out to catch Palin at the race, hoping to get the chance to meet the former Alaska governor. Palin, however, quit the race early to avoid many of her fans.

Palin had announced on Twitter that she would be running the 5k race organized by the Benton-Franklin Chapter of the Red Cross.

She didn’t finish the race, opting to leave the course early to avoid more crowds at the end. About 40 minutes into the run, word started trickling out to people gathered at the finish line that she was gone.

Palin also said that she wasn’t going to be making a turkey dinner for Thanksgiving because it was “too much work.”

Awww.. Prescience again?

"I'm not planning to buy her book either......I do understand why she's not having a book signing in Berkeley. It's called logic. That's my point. Why sell her book around the likes of the pictures posters below?"

Because we represent a large portion of the population and she'll need our votes if she ever wants to be, ya know *snicker- "president".

Luckily for all of us she won't be running in 2012.

......and even if she does manage to miracle her way back into the presidential elections were all doomed anyway (if you believe the latest "Y2K" type 2012 Mayan "prophecy").

If you're interested in a person who has soundbites instead of substance, rhetoric instead of reason, and complaints instead of courage, check out Sarah's book.

If you're interested in people who have the opposite qualities, then get "Going Rouge - Sarah Palin: An American Nightmare"

you see the same kind of comment in the seattle times online comment sections. there is a lot of suggestion that the people of eastern washington are just dumb country bumpkins. just a lot of meanspirited name calling.

Gues you didn't read about her book selling strategy Bump. She didn't impress me and I'm not a liberal, so what's your point?

Washington state went Obama. What's your point, truthinnews?

Besides that, she's trying to sell books-not impress liberals who already hate her, and would probably act like spoiled little children by yelling obscenities at her. What's the point in that?

Charlie, maybe she should try going somewhere that her and McCain weren't a big hit during the campaign and see how the lines are. (Oh that's right, she's gone rogue).
