WASHINGTON - Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton says she would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin over coffee.

In an interview for broadcast Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press," Clinton says she's never met the one-time GOP vice presidential hopeful and former Alaska governor and thinks it would be very interesting to sit down and talk with her.

Clinton was responding to a question about a passage in Palin's new book. Palin writes that if she and Clinton ever meet for coffee, "I know that we would fundamentally disagree on many issues." But Palin says, "my hat is off to her hard work on the 2008 campaign trail."

Clinton, in Singapore for a meeting of world leaders, says she's ready to have a cup of coffee and maybe she could make a case on some of the issues on which the two women disagree.

As far as that goes I think Hillary and Sarah would make a cute couple.......You know opposites attract.....Bill cheated on Hill....Sarah screwed half the guys in the Mat Su Valley before she decided to blame Todd.

Well, anyway, stupid is as stupid does.

Thank you Forest :))

As an individual I really don't care for Hillary Clinton. That aside, I think Hillary could easily chew Sarah Palin up and spit her out in debate/chat over coffee. Like my mom would say, "you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear". Sarah Palin is an attractive lady and she is independent minded, but thats pretty much it.

Funny how the mind works. I also thought that the headline referred to the 42nd President. "I did not have coffee with that woman."

SNITCHERLL...the intervew was with Hilary not Sarah...but you folks on the left seem to want only to place 'blame' on Sarah even if it has nothing do do with a subject at hand.

When I read this headline, I immediately thought of the other Clinton of the Arkansas poondog variety. The other thing I love is the immediate Palin hatred which emerges here - a perfectly normal, polite response by Palin is reduced quickly to "spewing nothing print worthy from her mouth."

I've talked to a lot of people over the past year in the lower 48 and up here about Palin, and one comment emerges over and over - the abuse she gets from those who hate her, in the media and among the left, is stated as one of the reasons why supporters back her up. Those of you who are brimming with hate for Palin need to know that every time you open your yaps, another Palin supporter is created. I'm old enough to remember that the left gave the same sort of gift to that cowboy actor, the amiable doofus, the stumbling moron who couldn't speak without a teleprompter who was elected president twice in the 1980s.

Printworthy is one word, BTW.

The coffee should be served, of course, by Levi Johnston.
